MEDICAL RECORDS
Crisis Line
(812) 422-1100
Similar to national crisis lines, our crisis services line is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Answered by our trained staff, this line is available to those going through a psychiatric crisis. We provide immediate assistance via phone or via Zoom, referrals to local services, and continue follow up to ensure no additional assistance is required. If we feel immediate in-person assistance is required we will contact emergency services to deploy to your location to provide further assistance. If this is a medical emergency please call 911.
Stabilization Unit
Our facility and our staff are specifically equipped to help those in mental health crises. The Crisis Stabilization Unit located at 414 S.E. Fourth Street in downtown Evansville is open outside of Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare’s normal office hours and has trained professionals on staff. When a client comes in we work with them to get them immediate help they need and provide continued follow up to make sure they are succeeding in their recovery.
Mobile Response
Our Mobile Crisis Unit is staffed with people who are trained in dealing with psychiatric crises. They co-respond with the Police department when a call pertaining to a mental health crisis is received by 911. Our team can provide immediate, in-person assistance, referral and follow up. If our team and the Police agree the person requires more immediate treatment we then can transport them to the facility that is best suited for their needs, even if it is not our facility.
On March 1, 2023, we marked our 1-year anniversary of the Crisis Stabilization Unit opening. To learn more about the great accomplishments achieved in our first year, click here to view our impact report.
