CRISIS SERVICES
Local Crisis Line (812) 422-1100 National Crisis Line 988
Our crisis services line, answered by trained staff, is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and is available to those going through a psychiatric crisis. We provide immediate assistance via phone or via Zoom, referrals to local services, and continue follow up to ensure no additional assistance is required. If we feel immediate in-person assistance is required we will contact emergency services to deploy to your location to provide further assistance. If this is a medical emergency please call 911.
Stabilization Unit
Our facility and our staff are specifically equipped to help those in mental health crises. The Crisis Stabilization Unit, located at 414 S.E. Fourth Street in downtown Evansville, is open outside of Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare’s normal office hours and trained professionals are available upon arrival. When a client or their family arrive, we work to provide immediate help and continued follow up to ensure that the issue is appropriately addressed and that their outcome is moving in the intended direction towards stabilization and recovery.
Mobile Response
Our Mobile Crisis Unit is staffed with professionals trained to handle psychiatric emergencies. We offer immediate, on-site support, including referrals and follow-up care. If our team determines that urgent treatment is needed, we can transport an individual to the most appropriate facility, even if it isn't our own. Additionally, when needed, we work in conjunction with local law enforcement when responding to calls related to mental health crises.
